The Annual Malaysia Open will be held on the Ridge Course at The Els Club – Desaru Coast in Johor. A pristine location and a world class course for Malaysia’s biggest FootGolf event!

Held over 3 days, and with over 30 international players from China and Japan participating, this year’s tournament promises to be the biggest yet.

Desaru is a town in Kota Tinggi District, Johor, Malaysia. It is famous for its pristine beach beside the South China Sea. Currently, the Johor state government is developing an integrated tourism area which spreads over an area of 1,578 hectares. Johor Bahru city centre and Senai International Airport are situated 70 kilometres and 85 kilometres away from the Els Club Desaru Coast, respectively.

As mentioned, this tournament will take place at the Els Club Desaru Coast. Set on one of the most spectacular plots of land anywhere in the world, it was designed by the club’s namesake and four-time major champion, Ernie Els. The course’s layout has its own character and personal touches from Els, taking inspiration from the famous links courses spread across the UK, with large rolling greens and firm run off areas designed to place a premium on a sharp short game.

Payment Terms & Conditions

  • Only payment by cash and Bank/Online transfer is acceptable.
  • Any refunds of registration fees for reasons unrelated to the tournament organization, including player cancellations, are unacceptable. A player must give two (2) weeks’ notice before the event to cancel their participation in the tournament, regardless of the reason.
  • Tournament reduction or cancellation due to stormy weather, earthquake, wind and flood damage, incidents, accidents, epidemics, etc., refunds, and notification methods will be determined and decided by the tournament organization on a case-by-case basis.
  • Players other than the applicant are not permitted to compete in the tournament.
  • Players are required to follow the etiquette on the golf course.
  • There will be media coverage and photography during the tournament, and the tournament will be posted on social media of the tournament organization and media.
  • False declaration of name, age, gender, address, record, etc. is not allowed.
  • Players must abide by the organizer’s final decision. Please follow the instructions of the tournament organizer related to the tournament.
